Tips for Storing Away Your Pressure Cooker
It is important that you know how to store it right after use. It is said that one of the most convenient and possibility the best way or at least one of the best ways to store your pressure cooker after using it is to place the lid on top of the pot in the upside down position. Another thing is that be sure to always wash the pot and the different parts of the pressure cooker such as the lid and seal rings after use before storing it away. It is recommended to wash with soap and warm water for best results. I know that it is common sense as well as ethnics to clean up after oneself but you would be surprise at how many people are just too lazy to even do this. There are some people I know who would just leave out used kitchen tools until they are infested with dried up crumbs and such before taking the time to clean it up. Be sure that the parts you intend to wash are allowed to be wash. There are some parts to a pressure cooker that are dishwasher safe while others are not. Many pressure cookers have pressure indicators and pressure valves. Be sure to actually check these for any problems such as being dirty and even if it is not, it would not hurt to clean it out thoroughly just in case. The one other thing would be checking the different parts like lid seal rings or rubber gaskets for clean up and positioning back onto the pressure cooker.
